We hired a Farm Manager
Welcome Chris Sweet aka "Bill". Bill has probably lived in his 26 years of life what most people do by the time they are 40. Grass does not grow under this mans feet. He has worked in 48 states on dozens of ranches picking up side hustles along the way during his adventures. He serves in our Virginia Air National Guard and has been deployed overseas two times. He is a diesel mechanic which comes in handy with having 8 pieces of equipment all running on a diesel engine. The experience he has with livestock and the workings of a farm is great to have here at Andy's Farm. He recently embraced regenerative farming at the last job he had and had the chance to go visit Polyface Farm where he meet Joel Salatin and his crew. We were not sure at first if he was farm manager material when we hired him back in March of last year. He was here for a few weeks and was deployed overseas so we didn't get a chance to work with him all summer. Once he got back we were confident that he was the one we wanted to entrust in helping us make Andy's Farm become a reality. Bills work ethic is above anyone we have hired before, he truly cares, but he also cracks a lot of jokes and can still be a kid. Whenever you see him on the farm just say "Hi Chris", he just loves that name.....NOT. After that just call him Bill.
